Introduction to initial coin offering

What is Initial Coin Offering (ICO)?

Initial Coin Offering (ICO) also known as Initial Token Offering is a practice of crowdfunding for blockchain projects, where a cryptocurrency or a token is offered to early investors before being listed on the wider marketplace.

ICOs are considered to be high risk investments, so make sure to conduct the necessary research around the project before investing. In order to participate in Smart Contracts and ICO projects, you will need to have a private wallet that you control the private keys for.

Unfortunately, you may not contribute to ICO or Token Sale addresses by sending directly from your Rain account. If you contribute using your Rain account, Rain will not be able to recover the funds/tokens related to your contribution and may not be able to support the token in the future.

If you wish to contribute to an ICO, Token Sale, or any form of smart contract, please first withdraw your balance to a personal private wallet address and contribute from there.
